At Platte Valley Dental Care our priority is to keep all of the smiles in your family healthy. Oral health is also important to your overall health because digestion begins in the mouth. We want your teeth to last a lifetime so we are committed to providing the quality dental care that you need and deserve. Dental care involves two areas, professional care and home care.
Home care includes all of the things you can do at home to keep your mouth healthy and prevent problems such as:
- Brushing at least two times daily
- Flossing daily
- Using any other aids recommended by your dentist (rinses, irrigation, special toothbrushes)
- Eating a healthy diet
- Avoid smoking
- Visit your dentist every six months
Professional care includes all of the services Dr. Blaha provides at Platte Valley Dental Care. When you visit Dr. Staci Blaha for your regular checkups you will be given a very thorough cleaning and examination. Her examination will include checking the face, neck, lymph nodes, bite, saliva, and jaw. Your gums will be evaluated for periodontal disease. We will look for any sign of oral cancers. Your teeth will be checked for decay and all previous dental work such as fillings will be examined to make sure nothing is loose or in need of repair. We will also take x-rays if necessary.
You will have an opportunity to ask any questions you may have and express concerns. Feel free to inquire about anything that is bothering you cosmetically as well. We will be happy to give you advice about teeth whitening and other cosmetic procedures.
We promise you will be impressed by the level of care you receive at Platte Valley Dental Care. With a few healthy habits and regular checkups with Dr. Blaha, you and your family will have healthy smiles that last a lifetime.
